9th grade earth and physical science students visited the Dwight D Eisenhower National Fish Hatchery in Chittenden yesterday. As one of only two national fish hatcheries in VT and one of the oldest ones in the country, it rears landlocked Atlantic salmon for anglers to the Lake Champlain basin and Lake Ontario, as well as lake and brook trout. Students visited the facility to learn about careers in natural resource management and conservation.
