Poultney Elementary School Promotes Word of the Week Initiative

Poultney Elementary School is excited to announce its new educational initiative, the ” Word of the Week.” Provided by our physical education, library, music, and art classes.

The “Word of the Week” initiative fosters a more comprehensive understanding of language among students. By integrating vocabulary into physical education, library, music, and art classes, Poultney Elementary School aims to create a holistic learning experience that combines cognitive and physical development.

All classroom teachers are the driving force behind this initiative and believe that expanding students’ vocabulary can have a profound impact on their overall education. Mrs. Kahill-Brown stated, “We recognize that a strong vocabulary is a valuable asset for students. Through this initiative, we hope to make learning more engaging and meaningful by seamlessly integrating new words into our physical education, library, music, and art classes.”

The entire staff at Poultney Elementary School is enthusiastic about this project. Teachers from various departments have come together to brainstorm and develop strategies to incorporate new words into their lessons. This collaborative effort exemplifies the school’s commitment to enhancing the educational experience of its students.

Poultney Elementary School recognizes the importance of a well-rounded education, and this initiative aligns with its mission to provide students with a diverse and enriching learning experience.

Parents, guardians, and the entire Poultney community are encouraged to support and participate in the “Word of the Week” initiative. This collaborative effort between teachers, staff, and the community will help shape the next generation of well-rounded, educated, and active individuals.
