On Friday, students in Pathways at Poultney made muffins for them and to distribute throughout the school to staff and students. Many of the students had never really made muffins before; so once in the F.A.C.S room, some were a little uneasy, but pushed through the challenge of following directions. They were able to learn basic cooking/baking skills, including modifying baking times, how to use an oven, and time management.
Once the muffins were ready, the students distributed the rest that they didn’t want to take to staff and students throughout the school. What wonderful life skills these students learned with this activity. Great job!
