On November 9th, students participated in their second All School Celebration, outside, flying homemade kites and enjoying pumpkin cookies. Students had such a blast flying their kites in the warm November air, celebrating all the good things they have done at school so far this year.
As a PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) school we strive to encourage our students and staff to demonstrate Safety, Trustworthiness, Acceptance and Respect (STAR).
Each classroom earns “dragots”, I.e. gold coins and once they reach 100, a wizard hat is placed on a bulletin board. Once the whole school has accumulated 10 wizard hats we celebrate as a whole school with an activity everyone can be part of. It’s a great way to get students involved in changing the school environment into a positive place to grow and learn.
